General Manager Job Description

Yellow City Co-op General Manager

We are looking for a resourceful General Manager to be responsible for meeting all Yellow City revenue, profitability and quality goals. Our GM will ensure efficient brew pub operation and maintain high production, productivity, quality, and staff and customer-service standards. Responsibilities

Coordinate the entire brewpub operation—including staffing with brewery manager and kitchen manager

Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction

Respond efficiently to customer complaints

Enforce and offer the best quality of products possible

Organize scheduling, payroll, and other HR functions of the position

Appraise personnel’s performance and provide feedback to keep them upbeat and productive

Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory

Monitor compliance with sanitation and safety rules and regulations

Control costs and minimize waste

Successfully promote and publicize the brand

Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions

Requirements

Proven working experience at the management level

Demonstrated experience in customer service management

Extensive food and beer knowledge—knowledge of Amarillo area is a plus

Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software

Strong leadership, motivational and people skills

Acute financial management skills

Degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or other related field is preferred

Ability to work in cooperation with Yellow City Board of Directors
